This policy explains what information LokalText collects when you use the eulogy and obituary writer, how it's used, and the choices you have. LokalText is used by people in the United States, United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, and Germany; where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR applies to you, the rights described below apply in full.

What we collect

When you use the generator, you may enter details about a person you've lost — their name, dates, relationships, and personal memories. This content is sent to our AI provider to generate your draft and is not stored after your session ends. We do not build a profile of the deceased person or retain the content you submit.

We separately collect limited, anonymous usage metadata — for example, which situation type or language was selected — to understand how the tool is used and to improve it. This metadata is not linked to the personal content you entered.

Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to keep the site functioning and, where enabled, privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate traffic (for example, which pages are visited and in which language). We do not use this data for advertising, and LokalText does not run third-party ad tracking.

AI processing

Generating your eulogy or obituary requires sending the details you provide to a third-party AI model provider for processing. That provider processes the request and returns the generated text; under our agreements with providers, submitted content is not used to train their models and is not retained beyond what's needed to generate your response.

Payment information

If you purchase the Keepsake Pass or an enterprise plan, payment is handled by a third-party payment processor. LokalText does not store your card details directly.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you (for example, account or billing information, if applicable), and to object to certain processing. Since the content of your eulogy or obituary submissions is not stored, there is generally nothing further to delete from that specific input once your session ends. To exercise any of these rights, contact support@lokaltext.online.

Children

LokalText is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16.
